The Freedom Challenge grassroots campaign was created by Rock Island Auction Company® to raise awareness and financial support for NRA-ILA, an organization that has stalwartly defended the Second Amendment for decades. 2016 is the most important year we’ve seen in a generation or more. The attack on the Second Amendment is clear; many politicians, government officials and members of the media look to destroy our Constitutional rights. The Supreme Court's greatest Second Amendment advocate — Justice Antonin Scalia — has passed away, leaving a vacancy on the Court that the next president will fill. Simply put, our firearm and other freedoms hang in the balance and it will take an army of us to take a stand.

Why did Rock Island Auction Company® create the Freedom Challenge?

Who is Rock Island Auction Company®?
Rock Island was started by Pat Hogan in 1993. Today, it's the world’s leading auction house for firearms, edged weapons and military artifacts, and has been the #1 firearms auction company in the world in sales for the past 12 years.
There are three types of auctions that take place at Rock Island. Premiere auctions are offered three times a year, each over a three-day period. Each of these auctions is made up of the rare, unusual, mint, and highly collectable pieces. Regional auctions are comprised of affordable antiques, beginning collector’s items, usable sporting arms and many non-firearm lots. Online Only Auctions are a popular new format that take place without a live audience.
Why should I support NRA-ILA?
Established in 1975, the NRA Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA) is committed to preserving the right of all law-abiding individuals to purchase, possess and use firearms for legitimate purposes as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
These efforts include enacting laws that recognize the right of honest citizens to carry firearms for self-protection, preemption bills to prevent attacks on gun owner rights by local anti-gun politicians, and fighting for legislation to prevent the bankrupting of America’s firearms industry through reckless lawsuits.
NRA-ILA is also involved in any issue that directly or indirectly affects firearms ownership and use. These involve such topics as hunting and access to hunting lands, wilderness and wildlife conservation, civilian marksmanship training and ranges for public use, law enforcement-related issues, product liability, trapping, crime victim rights and criminal justice reform.
